[November 23, 2009 | 07:34 PM] [ music | one week of danger- the virgins ] i want these. bad. www.totallysevere.com mood- content, warm, and comfortable/ best thing about this past weekend- relaxing, tea sipping, and baking cupcakes/ what i'm reading- slaughterhouse-five by kurt vonnegut/ what i'm watching- nothing at the moment, but i think i'm about to put in lars and the real girl. that movie always makes me feel good/ make-up lust- urban decay eyeshadow primer potion and o.p.i nail polish in sapphire in the snow/ listening to- the virgins/ favorite recent purchase- my new michael kors jacket/ what i'm looking forward to this week- getting thanksgiving over with. it'll be kinda like a practice run for christmas and being around A LOT of family/ i want- my hair to grow out and be long already/ aim for tomorrow- work on some more christmas presents.

[November 20, 2009 | 07:52 PM] [ music | sympathy for the devil- the rolling stones ] my mom and i went to go see 'pirate radio' today. great clothes and awesome music. i really enjoyed it. put me in a really great mood for the rest of the day. you should all go see it. also, after the movie my mom and i ventured to the dollar tree. best place on earth. had some really good finds. i purchased some things to help with my christmas present making and snatched up these precious candle holders. things are good.

[November 19, 2009 | 05:55 PM] [ music | domestica- bjork ] a picture of my current bang situation... i've been having this weird nostalgic feeling that i haven't had since i was in high school. maybe it's the holidays and the fact that i haven't been around my parents during this time in three years. i don't know. i do know that it isn't really a bad feeling. it's kind of worm actually, and i think it has something to do with my recent spike in creativity. making things again feels great, and i know that if i was still in dallas i'd be too distracted to even bother. my head is a lot clearer here. it's refreshing.

[November 05, 2009 | 08:52 PM] [ music | here should be my home- no age ] working retail can be kinda great. i forgot how much i liked it. i'm really liking aldo so far. plus today i went on a mini shopping spree there and got: pretty, pretty good. so, my great aunt has the same heart condition that i have and she knew, just as i know, that someday it would result in having to have a surgery to fix it. she thought it wasn't going to be a ways down the road. she went in for surgery this morning. crazy. i think my mom and i are driving down to modesto tomorrow to go visit her in the hospital. she's on the same floor that my papa died on. i really do hate hospitals.

[November 03, 2009 | 08:38 PM] [ music | goodnight bad morning- the kills ] i've been living in california for a month now. got a haircut. got a job with aldo. lost a great aunt. the suburbs are pretty boring, but my room is set up here and it's a pretty great sanctuary. i like being able to spend more time with my parents. i've missed my family a lot these last few years. things might be a little boring from time to time, but i feel like that's so much better than how i felt in dallas. plus, this is only temporary and a step in the right direction. i'm hoping to be in the bay area by spring. i went to visit this past halloween weekend. stayed with gina in pleasanton and then went to visit danny in oakland. pretty great. i drove home really happy on sunday. i wish desirae was here. i wish fred was here. i wish helen was here. i wish caroline was here.

[September 09, 2009 | 02:38 AM] [ music | crowds- bauhaus ] so here is the plan. the 25th is going to be my last day at work, and also my last night to be out and about in dallas. it's also when my mom is flying to houston to visit my brother. on the 26th i'm going to drive down and say the night, and on the 27th drive back to dallas with my mom. we're going to rent a uhaul and load up all my stuff on the 28th and then on the 29th we'll hit the road and hopfully be in california late on the first. i finally went and bought packing tape the other night. made it feel official. now, to just start going through my things and putting what i want in boxes. i'm really excited to see what california has in store for me. i'm also really excited to get my hair cut once i get there. hah! haven't had a cut since may and my layers are way overdue for one. my hair is wavy and messy today and i think i might wear it like this more often. i really do love edward gorey.
